Please read if you post in this section

I have recently been made aware of some posts in the "Just Chatting" section that are disappointing.

This is an open forum area. Not really for instruction and thus rather relaxed rules.

Because of the nature of the Internet and the work involved with moderating just normal goings on. There is a bit of a dilemma for us all if someone starts a thread, or in the course of a thread, makes comments not in the spirit of how Justin meant this section to operate. We all need to do the following...

1. If you read a thread and don't like it. Leave it be. Do Not Get Involved! It really is that simple. Just move on.

2. If you read something you think most would find offensive. Report it to a moderator and stay out of it.

3. If items 1 and 2 do not work for you and you must get involved. Be sure that you stay away from name calling and other sorts of serious personal derogatory remarks.

=--= 3a. If you go with item 3 and a moderator has to intervene, you are probably going to find your account locked until we have time to sort things out in our spare time.

It's far easier for the moderators to spot a trouble maker talking to him or her self than to pick them out of a five page thread with multiple people posting.

Bottom line... if something is not right, step away from it and report it. It makes a bad situation worse to do otherwise.

Don't feed the Trolls and don't get dragged into the fire.

I'd not bothered to read that thread past it's original post until it got locked.
Amusing as it was this place deserves to stay troll free.

Nice to see the moderator beating stick in action ;)
