This is the most difficult song to learn for me. I already practiced it 15 hours. Speed is 0,4, and I am just at the beginning. My goal is that I can play it next year. I will upload every month, so you can see how far I am with this song

i haven't seen any earlier renditions of this. But this is sounding great.

That's a Thumb Note up top if im hearing correctly.. Like you are wrapping the neck and using your thumb to fret the note? If so those are difficult (well for me anyway)

Any way kudos this sounds great and im sure youll be hard to tell apart from the original before it is said and done.
I want a cool image forum signature :)

Sounds like a great start!

The original Mason Williams version is a little less over the top fast than Tommy Emmanuel’s version.

Someday I would love to play this, but soooo not ready yet. I look forward to hearing your progress!

Sounding good so far, Rolandson. Tempo sounded pretty even, it's all recognisable, and mostly notes ringing clear.

Look forward to following your progress.

Recording sounded OK, so if the problems you had previously were guitar related then may have been just a temporary passing glitch.

Kudos to you, Rolandson, for taking this one one.  A classic guitar song for sure.  Your start on it sounds promising.  Keep at it.

Hey Rolandson, that was great, you’re really getting there with it. Well done, keep it up, it’s a terrific tune and one that I’d like to attempt at some point. Too many great tunes out there, too little time. 😃

I remember the Mason Williams recording but not heard Tommy perform it. One well above my level to try but I enjoyed your take on it and look forward to your updates.

Roland

Good vibes for tackling this one. Don't know the TE version, only the original Mason Williams (well original to me back in the late 60s). On my "to learn list", so big hats off for giving it a go. Look forward to the progress reports and updates as definitely hearing the laying of a foundation.

Cheers

Toby
