Hi JustMe,

This is your 1,5 month playing you. It started 1,5 month ago where you decided to pick the Washburn D12S from the attic because you were going a bit crazy in your home office staring at a screen. It's COViD-19 now, second lockdown and it's a great time to pick up a new hobby.

Ofcourse I am telling myself now that this isn't a new hobby because you know better. It's the second time we picked up the guitar but this time we are serious. You got advice on this forum which let you to a beginners purchase of over 1K so you better still be playing.

This is also a thread because you can't keep spamming in every topic thats available. From now one, a bit more spamming in this thread and a bit more "just reading" in the other threads.

So far, we have been going trough a beginners class at another guitar learning website but the community is so much better at justinguitar that you enjoy your time a lot here.

In a couple of days all new gear will be available and I will post the pictures here. The goal is to still be here in 10 years from now and perhaps helping the new beginners out a bit in your own unique way.

Oh by the way, future Just me,

How do you now look at following 10 youtube channels and getting all inspired by all the amazing guitar playing you are seeing? Was it really "that amazing", or do you rock better now?

Dear diary,

Things I have trouble with now:
- Baby F chord
- transition from some chords to another
- sometimes hitting the low E while should be muted
- staying away from YouTube channels
- on a meta level: where will this hobby take me?

Thanks future guitar friends!

I had my first bigger win today. Wife recognized “Hey Joe” and I figured out the strumming pattern to make it more interesting. All is Down but on the E you just go crazy on it as I can only describe it. Future me will find this cute.

Nooo way :) Give me some 10 years or so to at least build a decent home studio etc. And that will take some time because I will need to explain the wife a lot about isolation, mix panels, Cube etc........

About as imaginative as the guy right before you - JustMe123455 - LOL...

I want to thank you - I saw you start a thread in road cases and clicked on it (maybe I'm one of your followers - LOL) - I honestly thought "Road Cases" was a forum about technical gear. i.e. "Here's my pedal board and guitar and amp and VW microbus we use to haul the drum kit around"

As a result I never looked in here before - LOL...

Now I am contemplating getting mine going but just wait till ya'll hear what's in my head - LOL...

Haha and on a more serious note... a easy case can be made if you can afford it and feel good about it to just buy a very good guitar as a beginner. I would not feel good spending thousands now, but I have spend as much to know I really can never blame the equipment for how I am sounding. I want to set myself up as much as I can for success and I just really wanted the best for a not so crazy budget.
