That's just how it goes RFW.

Keep on keeping on and be at peace that progress takes as long as it takes.  Look forward to your rendition of Everybody Hurts

Since my last update, I feel like I have treaded water,  and apart from August due to holidays, I played 3 or 4 times per week. (same songs, without a specific practice routine)
I am still enjoy playing the guitar, but I am little lost on my guitar journey. My temporary departure from the course is now 6 months and I need to find a way to reconnect.
My aim is start my learning progress again in Oct and probably spend the rest of the year completing Grade 2 before commencing the intermediate course in the New Year.

Sounds like a sensible plan, RFW.

I confess I still spend more time playing songs than practising and growing my technique.  I figure better that than not playing at all and falling into a lot of self-recrimination over not enough practice, intensity, and ambition to be disciplined and determined to work continuously to learn and improve technique.

I am sure there are folk in the Forum who have become better guitar players over the same time period but I'm not too disturbed by that. It's not a race or competition.

I make plans but dont stick to them and this is ok:-)

But I am happy, that I still enjoy the playing after almost 2 years and I certaintly wont be the fastest  to complete the beginners course.
