Hi everyone,

Just a video introducing myself... and a bit of breakthrough strumming DDDUD at the end. If it's not the proper place for this, let me know, and I'll remove it. Thanks

Sandra, that is a great idea. I expect when Close spots this he will move this video over to the Road Case Board in this area of the Forum, here https://justinguitarcommunity.com/index.php?board=92.0

Most of us who choose to have a Road Case topic approach it as a BLOG, so Good Vibes for choosing to go that next step of making yours a VLOG.

I look forward to following your thoughts and updates as you progress.

Hi Sandra. Great idea to put up a video blog. It’s marvellous to be able to see someone else’s 4 walls in these times of restricted movement and social interaction. Let’s hope the little lights on your potted plant are a sign that we might still manage some festive cheer later this year! Vibes to you for that. 😃

Great idea Sandra, it’s always nice to be able to put a face to a name! You’re doing well so far, just keep the momentum and enthusiasm going, you also look like you’re enjoying the journey!
Good vibes from me for your efforts so far!

Hi Sandra,
Congrats on setting up a Road Case so quickly. It took me several years to get around to it.

Your strumming looked pretty good for such a short time playing. Keep it up and more breakthroughs are bound to come. The singing was also lovely.

As others have pointed out, there's a few timing issues, but this is to be expected at your stage, especially if you don't know the song.

One tip for learning new songs: stick the song on repeat and listen to it 20 or 30 times or more (not necessarily in one sitting) until you really know the song. Also, it's good to eventually play along (and, perhaps, to sing along) to it as well.

Anyway, like others, I look forward to seeing your journey continue.

Cheers,

Keith

Hi Sandra,

Sounds like you've got a quality instrument that should take you a long way. Your chords sound pretty crisp, and you've got a nice singing voice. You've also had the courage to post video of your playing & singing, which for me and perhaps many others is a fairly big hurdle. Bravo!

Thanks everyone...I decided to do this for posterity... is that the right English word...gonna have a good laugh in a few years.  It's a fake plant.  I threw my Christmas tree in the garbage last year after many years of use... was planning to buy another one, but with Covid19 and stuff, decided to put lights on my artificial tree instead.  We are in a partial lockdown in Montreal (Covid19 epicenter of Canada), meaning we are not to mingle with other households... we have been threatened to a socially isolated Christmas if we don't behave.. time is running out.    :(

Okay!  If you don't mind me asking, can one of you guys or gals, explain what is the purpose of the Road Case. What can I publish here?  Can I publish some of my practice sessions? Thanks

Treat this as a free creative zone, blog sort of place. This is perfect place for your training sessions as first off it's in a single thread and second off you can easily go back in time and find old posts yourself :)
