Amazon Fire HD8 Plus tablet for beginners' course App

Hi,

Does anyone have the beginners' course app working on the Amazon Fire HD8Plus tablet?

I've tried unsuccessfully to get it working on my older Fire 7 tablet, but I might pick up an HD8+ on Prime Sale offer if anyone can confirm that it works (whether by sideloading the google app store, or using APK - I'm comfortable with both)
