Let Her Go by Passenger Strumming Pattern
« on: October 11, 2020, 06:09:45 pm »
Hi guys,

I've been struggling to nail down the strumming pattern and the timing of the chord switches on this song.  I feel like my brain just can't grasp it.  Can someone please help me write down the exact strumming pattern and highlight where the chord changes occur on which stroke?  I'm using Justin's video lesson for this song.  The part I'm struggling with is 9:08 on the video.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Justin's strumming pattern fits 1 bar with 2 chords per bar.
The chord change in the middle of the bar sounds to me like it's on the 4th accent in each bar.
So I think it's something like this:

 Am                Fmaj7         | G                 Em
 >       >     >   >     >       | >       >     >   >     >
 D U D U D U D U D U D U D U D U | D U D U D U D U D U D U D U D U

Hope that looks clear.
As with all these things, start slow. You can slow down YT vids to play along with them too.
