Mrs Santa had to go shopping today.  She is getting prepared early incase lockdown happens. I of course had to accompany her to try out a few potential options.

It has been put away now until Christmas day, but I got a photo first.  Taylor 114e.

Life’s too short. Have yourself an early Christmas and start playing it now. You must have tremendous willpower if you can wait for more than 2 months!

Still not touched my Taylor Christmas present, but this found it's way into the collection.

Very cool. I've thought about adding an acoustic bass to my collection too - though  I would have no idea how to play it!

I wish my playing was improving as fast as my guitar collection was growing.
A Baby Taylor that popped up on FB Marketplace this afternoon that I had to buy.

Nice collection of instruments. Acoustic bass is an instrument I'd love to learn if not for budget & time constraints. My bass idol is Jack Cassady of Jefferson Airplane/Hot xx--xx fame.

What kind of organ do you have (shown in the first photo)?

The Organ in the picture is a Technics GA-1, I have it's big brother, the GA-3 in the Dining Room.  It's a fabulous bit of kit and sounds brilliant even though it's about 30 years old.  It will emulate most famous old organs.

A brother-in-law is a music teacher, and has a keyboard setup to interface with a computer program to emulate famous organs, which sounds like a more technically advanced version of your Technics.

I've always loved organ music, from Bach to prog-rock, and used to play many moons ago.
That one must be a joy to play. And if that glass is any indication, you're a drinker of stouts.

Now there's an appetiser to set me up for the main event ... hearing you playing your organ or guitars, GrowlingDog.

Organ ... love Jon Lord trading licks with Blackmore or Morse in Deep Purple.

My new  Taylor 114e has been let out to play now.  It's fantastic and I've played it a fair bit today.

I also got the Justin guitar beginner songbooks, a wireless transmitter which is great as I keep tripping over my guitar cable and a new capo.

The collection is growing nicely.

I love the grain of the wood on the back.

What a treat Steve. You're acquiring quite a line up there. I'm curious to know more about your wireless transmitter. What brand?

How did that happen?  Just a couple of clicks and it appeared.

Just incase 6 strings weren't enough already.

Oooo, that’s rather nice, I’ve got serious GAS for a 12 string (but not acoustic), they’ve got a lovely sound!

I’m thinking about having a go at recording Wonderwall on a 12 string this weekend as I just played it and it sounded quite fun, having it tuned down half a tone means it’s closer to my vocal range so I may be able to make a hash of singing it as well.

LOL ... it's just so easy to indulge GAS.

Enjoy the 12 string, GD, and have fun recording Wonderwall. Give it your best shot and then share, warts and all.

Wow! What a collection you’ve added since I last read your Road Case!  Yes, like Maggie, tell me more about the wireless transmitter.

The wireless transmitter I have is the Getaria 5.8GHz.

Seems really good to me with no noticable delay and seems just as good as a cable.

I've only used it indoors at fairly close range.
