I have just seen an advert for a Squire Stratocaster with a kill switch button!! What is one of these?

The bargain basement Epiphone SG has had a killpot for sometime now. I always found it to be a cool little feature. Especially interesting for a guitar with a metric ton of sustain. Much like a wiggle stick, probably "less is more" would apply.
