Les Paul players: Epiphone LP Traditional Pro
« on: July 27, 2020, 08:28:11 pm »
Out of the blue I acquired a used but basically new condition Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro from 2014. I got it for $250 with no case.

I already own a Gibson SG from the '80s which doesn't see too much use but I've always had a passing interest in LPs just not enough to buy a real one (saving my pennies for an ES-335 - someday!).

When I took it for a "test drive" I was surprised to find it has tapped coils! Kinda funky but I can't see using it often as I already have some Fenders. Unless I gig with the Epi which seems unlikely.

This one was made in China and I remember reading somewhere that Korean Epis are better quality. Still it's a beautiful little guitar with no rough frets or pockmarking or anything.

What say all you Les Paul players? Was this a good pickup?
