Who are you going to see in 2020?
« on: December 10, 2019, 09:50:10 am »
As another year swings around, another thread to chat about your live music plans.
From paying through the nose to see the world's biggest mega-stars to supporting your local bands for the price of a beer, share it all here.

In February Mrs C and I are going to the theatre to see The Croft:

https://www.atthetheatre.co.uk/gwen-taylor-to-star-in-new-thriller-the-croft-2020-uk-tour/

"The Croft is set in the remote Scottish Highlands village of Coillie Ghille, where we encounter three women from different eras whose lives are intertwined by the croft’s dark history. In the 1880’s, we have Enid, the last person left in the village – she’s resilient, a survivor, who takes in the Laird’s pregnant daughter, Eilene. In 2005, Ruth occupies the croft, which she and her husband Tom bought as a holiday home and where Ruth has her affair with local man, David. In the present day, Laura returns with her friend Suzanne to her parent’s croft after her mother Ruth’s death. They discover the terrifying truth that lurks within the croft. In this bold and haunting play, the present interweaves with the past, as these women search for love in the midst of great danger. As we watch their stories intertwine and ancient tales surface, can the present heal the past?"

I'm hoping to see KISS one last time when they come up here on their third farewell tour.  Even though I'm afraid it might disappoint me, just for old times sake!

Are they down to just Angus now for original members or did they stick with the Axl/DC thing?

Myself and Mrs SG have tickets for Stereophonics in February. Really looking forward to hearing them air the new album 'Kind' live.
Went to see them back in June at an outdoor show. They blew the roof off. Well, the treetops anyway  :)

Hopefully going to see those young Mexican ladies The Warning who I’ve been following since they were very young!
They are doing a UK tour late in the year, it’s all TBA at the moment but they have already raised the funding they need on kickstarter!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/the-warning-uk-show/the-warning-uk-show?ref=discovery_category

They are doing a North America / Canada tour in March/April plus the new album
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thewarningrockband/new-album-and-23-date-northamerican-tour?ref=discovery&term=the%20warning%20
Anyone interested, keep a lookout for them!
