Silent Night (Arranged for Guitar and Alto Recorder)
« on: December 04, 2019, 02:38:44 am »
A simple arrangement of Silent Night for alto recorder and guitar:

PDF of the score

No MIDI file this time. Instead, I posted a recording using actual instruments in the "audio/video of you playing" forum.

I've created an expanded arrangement, adding viola and violin, and writing out an accompaniment part for the alto recorder when it doesn't have the melody. (The plan is to get my daughters to record the string parts, and I'll record the guitar and recorder parts.)

I made a full score and also separate little scores for the individual parts:

While a recording of the full score with real instruments is planned, here's the score played back with MIDI instruments. The MIDI playback doesn't play the fast guitar arpeggios, it just plays the chord all at once. Also, the MIDI playback includes some vocal "aahs" low in the mix, just "singing" the basic triads or seventh chords.
