Just to add my $0.02 to this for anyone else who might find this thread, I'd recommend getting an LP-style guitar from the place I got mine,

It's an absolutely incredible guitar. It's an Indio 66 DLX Plus Goldtop. They have them in black, also. I can't believe how great this guitar is for the money.
For the same money, you get basswood with a bolt on maple neck and a single volume & tone control from Epiphone. Their offerings don't even come close, imo.
