Guitar causing static in amp
« on: November 06, 2019, 04:15:19 pm »
Hey Guys,

I'm have a problem wihy my guitar whens its amped. Theres static noise. I can somewhat hear strumming when i mess with the settings but theres still static.

I used the amp with a different guitar and it worked fine.

It's a new electric acoustic guitar.

I tried using a voltmeter from the battery terminal to the audio output and got a voltage across. Is this normal or could this be related to the problem?

You would get a voltage from the battery positive terminal to the cable jack.
If it is new take it back to the shop as you have tested the amp and cable it must be the guitar.
