Following the play along songs on the app!
« on: September 26, 2019, 11:48:49 am »
Can anyone help me understand how to follow the app play along songs?

An example, this is how I understand it.. if 1 D chord on the first line shows, that means strum 4 times, the next line may show D.....D...so does that mean to strum 2 sets of 4 strums? And if instead of D...D it’s D....E does that mean strum 4 times for the D then 4 for the E?

I’m confused as the app seems to suggest by the sound it makes that the first D it’s 4 strums but the second is only 2?

I’m following Justin’s instructions of do 4 strums when a cord is shown, but this doesn’t seem to work on the app?

If two chords are in the same bar the it's 2 strums per chord.
If there are 2 bars in the line and each chord is in a seperate bar them it's
4 strums per chord.
Listen to the drum track and tap your foot to get the feel of the rhythm.
Music is about listening and getti g in the groove. If you having trouble with
4 strums per bar do 1 stum per bar until you get the feel of the rhythm.

On the app there is no indication of bars, just either 1 or 2 chords on a line, listening seems to suggest 4 strums for the first chord but only 2 for the 2nd? Which is confusing when the instructions say to strum 4 times per chord.

I don't have the app but have watched the app play along videos on the website
It seems that each line is 1 bar.
Which song are you trying to play along with?
It would be easier the help you out if we know the song or songs.
