Nice! I don't usually go for uke covers as they come off a bit hipstery. You did good. Liked it a lot.

Spidey-senses tingling!
You are a witty man.
Cheers  ;)

@ CT
Thanks Clint!
I know what you mean and think now that summer is over, I should put away the uke and build up the calluses for the acoustic again.

Hipsters aren't so bad,  it's the extras you have to be wary of.   A standard hipster, they're just a bit annoying.   A hipster cyclist,  keep your distance, there's a good chance they're not right.   A hipster,  vegan, cyclist,  that's your red flag right there,  this one you need to keep well clear of.   Add uke player to that last one,  and feed them some avocado on toast...  Hipsters gone wild.

Funniest thing I've read in a while.

Apologies to any hipsters, extra or otherwise, that I may have offended. It takes all kinds of people to make the world go 'round. Please just keep it chill and fun, like @brianlarsen,  for everyone's sake. :)

@CT sometimes I read things I've written and I'm convinced there's another alex6strings moonlighting, posting stuff when I'm ahhh asleep.  It's not just here he does it,  instagram is a favorite of the other Alex as well.

Umm I feel like I should apologise but who to?  Does anyone really identify as a hipster?  Or do we just label them hipsters cause they're weird little bearded people in cardigans and corduroys?  I'm so confused.   I guess i could apologize cyclists and vegans but that's certainly not gonna happen!

Brian I apologize to you for the other Alex and his hijacking ways.  There,  I feel good, everyone's happy.

@brianlarsen did not cover a pop song with a uke, it was a rock song, I can stamp his passport. LOL

Brian,
Brilliant performance! Vocal dynamics were great and the whole thing worked really well. Definite like from me.
I have to ask though....... why have you got a human skull on the counter top behind you........? :-X

Thank you kindly, good Sir
I taught anatomy in Trinity College Dublin for a year in the early nineties- left me with a penchant for the macabre.
Mind you it's only plaster, as I am too tight to fork out a couple of hundred quid for the real thing.
Reminds me of a poem at a John Cooper Clarke gig:
Necrophilia
Are you fed up with foreplay and all that palaver?
'ave a cadaver.

When I see your face in the preview of a video, I know I'm in for something fresh :)
Congratulations; you set an image and that's gold.

Really a fun stripped version of a song that is a classic but musically was pretty basic already.

I must confess this is amongst my favourites :)

@ The Devil's Avocado  ;)

Thank you kindly, sir. High praise indeed  8)

I presume I am not alone, looking forward to reading fellow forum-members' encouraging comments, but also waiting with baited breath for the pearls from the moderators' mouths (not to mention the great-guitar-guru himself!)

You guys rock! \m/

Hey Brian

I didn't have you pegged as an offspring fan. This works great on the uke. What next? Keep 'em separated on the harmonica?

Looked like you really enjoyed this. I wish I could look like I enjoy playing. I usually just look a bit pained.

You must be getting near recording the ukele anthem?

G

Have me 'come out and play'? - not sure you guys could handle that  :P

There's an awful lot of lyrics in that one and I you'd have to know it inside out to pull it off properly.
But hey- watch this space!
