Recording vt20x
« on: August 17, 2019, 08:47:06 am »
Hi Guys,

I’ve just bought a vox vt20x amp and I’m wondering what the best way to record with it is - I’m thinking maybe a good quality mic in front of the speaker linked up to an audio interface? I have a scarlet focustite 212 and ableton lite but it doesn’t seem like you can use the vox directly with that so I thought if I bought a decent mic then I’d be able to plug it in to the interface and record using the voxs tone room which has great amp settings and effects that I don’t have with ableton.

Any information is greatly appreciated

Your amp has a USB connection. You should be able to connect directly into your PC with it. Your DAW will see it as an input device. I do this all the time with my Fender Mustang amp.

EDIT: That's the beauty of a solid state amp with a USB connection.
