Semi acoustic Ebay win!!
« on: August 13, 2019, 10:19:31 pm »
Hi all

I recently put the opening bid amount (£50) on this Hudson Bluenote studio late at night then forgot about it the next day! Turned out no one else bid on it!

The chap actually delivered it to me from the next town too!!

He'd restrung it with flatwound strings, They're an eye opener! No scratchy sounds whilst moving your fingers just lovely warm, clear notes!!  8) 8)

It seems that Hudson guitars are made in the same factory as where Tanglewood guitars are made!!

Can anyone spot the mistake?  :-[

It has a set neck too..

And Grover machines!!  ;)

I'm really happy to have this guitar and the flatwounds, I'm going to have to get some more for my other guitars!!, Couldn't really find bronze ones very much for normal acoustics though  :(

John  :)

Hey congratz on the e-bay-podshot-bid-win :D

of the strings are still a bit decent, that's almost half the value of the guitar! :D
I love flatwounds  ;D

Nice score.

Can anyone spot the mistake?
The top 3 strings are wound backwards  ;D

Happy new guitar day.
I do occasionally drool and lust after another semi-hollow,
£50 is a win.

Definitely a win there, nice looking instrument, as regards the mistake - the G B and E strings are the wrong side of the tuner, needs them taking off and re-stringing the correct side!
My singing sucks so I’m learning Guitar and Ukulele, it’s fun 🌟

Strings are wound badly, like, REALLY badly.
Surprised they haven't outright slipped off.
[edit] damned cellphone ate half my comment while I was posting  >:(
As I was trying to say, she looks like a keeper, but I'd replace the strings ASAP because of the above reasons.
