So I’m listening to Fire, Water, Burn and I’m thinking “this guy doesn’t seem bothered that “the roof is on fire” “ so I listened to the original (didn’t know the song) and then I get it! Your guitar sounds so like the original, good work on that one! I think you could have been a bit more aggressive on the vocal on  “we don’t need no water.......”, then the song would have hit home more easily, with me at least.

Nice job on the Bowie tune, guitar is steady and sounds good, tighten up the timing on the vocals and your rendition will go up a few notches I reckon.

Good work, keep ‘em coming  ;D

Good work on two challenging songs to cover, Rolandson.

I agree with Steve, you really nailed the guitar and got the vibe of that intro chorus. I too had to listen to the original as I didn't know it and discovered not really my kind of band based on the song. I'd suggest you explore some different ways to play the three parts I picked up. The chorus is great. Then perhaps you could play the instrumental portion before the verse and the verse differently. Perhaps some more percussive bar chord strumming for the instrumental and plam muted power chords for the verse using all down strums.

The Bowie sounded prettygood guitar playing for most part. A couple of the instrumental interludes didn't sound quite right tome but maybe that is because of being a single acoustic rather than electric guitars, full band like I am used to. Vocal I think you were getting some of the accents and dynamics,  just felt it was dragging a little. Maybe with a little more practice you can play and sing it a little faster which may pick up the energy and vibe a little better. Still, a really good go on a challenging classic song.

Thank you very much.
I don't record those songs anymore. Still play it though.

The next song I will record is vote for the truth written by myself.

Hey, Rolandson, I'm hearing improvement all the way around here, especially with your guitar playing - sounding good.  Agree with Bird on the vocal timing, some small adjustments would elevate both of these.
You definitely aren't choosing what I would consider easy songs to do, so kudos for challenging yourself.

Hi Rolandson,

The guitar tone on Space Oddity is really good.
Agree with the others about the phrasing on the vocal - though not easy to sing.

Hadn't heard the Bloodhound Gang song before - only know a few of theirs. Sounds interesting.  :D
Might want to throw out a warning about the lyrics.

Thank you.
I need to get better on the vocals.
Happy the guitar part sounds fine though.
