Thanks for sharing all this and welcome.

I think it's great you show your progress with Justins course and yeah, you sure aint one of the slower students :)

make sure that you keep your rhythms flowing steady and try to give that priority over exact note definitions. It's important to have a precise technique bofre you get sloppy but without steady, stutterless rhythm, you don't have enough time to move "feeling the rhythm" to something you can delegate to your unconcious brain some more.

love what you're doing; please keep on doing it :D

Loved that video, Luke ... you do a great job of putting together this video journal of your journey.

Amazing the progress on Anjii.  And I was pretty blown away by your progress on Blackbird.  I've been plugging away at trying to get those right-hand fingers schooled for finger-picking this year and I would not feel ready or just be bold enough to try Blackbird.

And of course I recognized the NY tune.  Again you have made really great progress on it.  And by pure coincidence I am busy trying to get that song about to a level where I am ready to give it a go in front of the camera ... may take me as long as you've been playing to reach the point where I am feeling OK to record it.

So keep at it and whatever you are doing is taking you forward, so I'd not stress about the approach and way you spend your time.  If you are learning and improving and moving towards your short, medium and long term goals then I'd say all is good.

Well, this month and most of last I am trying to learn 30 songs in 30 hours, doing an hour a day.

This is a huge challenge for me and having done quite a few hours now I know that I won't get them all the way through. However, there is always something to learn and this challenge is helping me to realise a few things all the way.

I will post each hour's video on here and then probably collect my thoughts and reflect at the end about the pros and cons.

Thanks to DavidP for reminding me to post in here.

Below are the first 5 hours which are now up on my YouTube channel.

Day 1 - Hour 1 - Live to Love Another Day

Day 2 - Hour 2 - Sweet Home Alabama

Day 3 - Hour 3 - Bad Moon Rising

Day 4 - Hour 4 - You Look Good In My Shirt

Day 5 - Hour 5 - Good Thing

Thanks Guys

Here is my Day 6, a song that I will likely add to the list of those that I want to learn at the end of these 30 songs.

Hey, good progress.  I just watched the latest but if this is the entirety of them posted here then you're moving along pretty good.  Especially the change to the F chord in that "Wanted Dead or Alive" I just watched.  Keep sharing!

Full marks for sticking to your guns, Luke.  When you decide to do something you sure do go all in.  I've taken in some of the videos and good to see you picking up learning and consolidation along the way.

30 days will pass quickly enough. Then I am curious to see your next ... perhaps picking some of the songs that you like and spending more time to learn them fully?
