Finding a online guitar teacher
« on: April 09, 2019, 12:34:19 am »
I would like to treat myself to some one-on-one guitar lessons for my birthday but I am overwhelmed trying to find a online skype based teacher that can give me lessons as well as a structured plan on how I should proceed.

Do any of you have some recommendations and/or tips on how to find a teacher?   I would get a local teacher but my town is quite small and there are no real teachers here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Colin and welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure if this would work but perhaps you could contact Long and Macquade and see if any of their teachers do on-line lessons or if they're even open to it. The good thing about the teachers there is that they all seem to have some formal education in music and are not just some guy trying to make a few bucks. There might also be an option that if you were paired up with an instructor in your closest location you could have an occasional face to face lesson.

Cheers,
Glen
