@ Paraic

As Christy sang:
"Ah no not Christy Moore, we've seen him loads of times before. We'll miss Gay Byrne and the Late Late Show!"

It's almost impossible for non-Paddies to appreciate the influence this man had on a country.
I had the pleasure of chatting to him on his morning radio show back in '98  :)
Lucky you Brian - he was legend. I guess the most important lesson I took from growing up with the Late Late is that we have the right the to question and debate any opinion or dogma - regardless of who is saying or promoting it.

Not a good day.

Not a chefy person but my wife liked GR and such a loss at 59.

Clive James was epic cynicism, loved his work.

Jonathon Miller had a rapier whit.

Iain Sutherland, apart from Sailing, with Sutherland Brothers and Quiver Arms of Mary would have been a classic for folks of a certain age.

Loved Roxette in the 80’s. Also the Sutherland Brothers and Quiver in the 70’s. Man do I feel old! The 70’s 80’s were just a few years ago weren’t they?

Allee Willis, songwriter, wrote Boogie wonderland for Earth wind and fire - one of my favourite songs in that genre!

Might not mean a lot to many folks here but song writer and 7th Python - on the Monty variety - and Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band Neil Innes passed yesterday.

Some memorable songs for Bonzo (if your old enough) and many hilarious songs for Monty Python.

Just two

For the oldies

Haha. Yes I can remember them performing Urban Spaceman on Top of the Pops! Great song!
If my memory serves me well, I think Paul McCartney was involved in the production.
