Telecaster Classic 50 MIM vs Telecaster Nashville Deluxe MIM
« on: November 15, 2018, 03:00:00 pm »
Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a second hand electric guitar (my first one indeed). Nowadays I have borrowed a Simon&Patrick acoustic from a friend (and years ago i learned some basics with a classical guitar).

I like telecaster style, but I don't want to spend a huge amount of money in a guitar. A friend has recommended me to search for a second hand Fender made in Mexico and i now have the chance to buy two, so i have to choose between them:

- Fender Telecaster Classic 50

- Fender Telecaster Nashville Deluxe

I find both charming aesthetically and the seem to be i good condition. The Nashville is 30€ cheaper.

I've read that the Nashville Deluxe is more versatile because of the third pick up that gives some flavour strato sound.

I like rock, pop, grunge, indie, punk, blues, jazz... My goal is to buy a good enough guitar to learn and stick with it for several years (maybe forever, hehehe). I don't want to buy some cheap guitar and regret to have bought it after a year.

Kind Regards,

Alex

Play both. Buy the one you like best. No-one can tell you the best choice for you except you.

It really is that simple. Anyway, 'one' guitar is never enough :)

Just for the record i've finally have bought the tele classic 50 one, cause the nashville model was already compromised to another buyer. I tested the 50's one and i liked so it's now at home. ;D

PS. A second hand Vox AC4TV amp is it's mate.

Iv'e had a AC4TV for years. They don't seem to get a lot of love,  but I'm happy enough with mine.
