Registered by wrong ip address

Hi

I don't know how to contact the sysadmin for this forum, so I hope someone will pass this to the right person.

When we create messages in the forum, our ip addresses are logged. The problem is, I know for sure the address you register when I visit the forum is wrong! I have a static IP address, so my address is always the same on the internet. The forum software think I come from different addresses each time, and they all belong to Cloudflare (fx 162.158.134.36). I don't care, but you may want to know the addresses you log may not always be correct.

Hi and thanks for pointing this out.

We are very careful when it comes to doing stuff based on IP addresses. We've had more problems than good basing decision on them.

What you state is probably true indeed and might explain some other behaviour we noticed in the past.

Good thing you actually posted an actual and valuable clue :)
