A Pedal That simulates an Acoustic Guitar
« on: November 11, 2018, 02:33:39 pm »
Ben thinking about getting one of these pedals for my electric guitar.
I have an Ibanez GRX20 electric guitar and a Fender Mustang 1 amp.
I love both, but I want to practice with a cleaner sound that more resembles an acoustic guitar.
I've been considering one of these three pedals.

What are your thoughts?

If you're looking for bang for the buck or value add, I'd go with the Zoom Multistomp:

For the price of a single pedal you get the acoustic amp model (and a bunch of others), tuner, and the full roundup of chorus, delay, 'verbs, configurable presets, etc. This is something you can throw in a bag and have a viable FX flyrig. With this pedal and the Mustang amp (I have one too) there aren't many tones that you couldn't dial up.

The Zoom Multistomp is on my GAS list, and will be my next pedal. The value and features are right in my wheelhouse.

Whichever path you take regarding this, make sure to either test for yourself or at least listen to sound samples. Every "Acoustic Simulator' I have heard or tried has sounded like crap compared to the sound of a real acoustic.

Just my 2 cent

Sigma SOMR28H, Fender Classic '50s Tele, Fender Std Stratocaster, Gibson lpj '14, BOSS Katana 100-212 amp.
