David/Mari

Been keeping this one unread for when I get time for a listen. Being a lover of the original Bob Dylan version and also a big GnR "fan" (too old to think of myself a fan of owt), thought this was a really good cover and a balanced contribution from the two of you. With my limited vocals and playing ability I'd be a fool to critique but after a long wait enjoyed the experience. Well done and chapeau to you both.

Cheers

Toby

Thanks for making such a point of giving this a listen, Toby.  Glad it was worth the wait and appreciate the encouragement.

Well just wow. This is just fantastic. A brilliant performance of one of my favourite songs. The work on the guitar is brilliant -great job Mari, and excellent vocals David. Top class - really enjoyed it.

Hi David,

The GnR version takes me back to happier days.

What a great job you've done of it.
Solo was played very well with a tone to match.
Really well produced as well.

Strong vocal performance carried the tune well.

Thanks for giving it a listen, Digger.  Delighted that it triggered happy memories.  Appreciate your comment on my singing.  And the electric guitar ... well that was all Mari aka embishop ... she rocked this one like a pro.

I think I've listened to this bad boy at least a handful of times now and it just gets better and better. I've had myself a David Preece Appreciation afternoon over on SoundCloud whilst at work. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but you sir are an inspiration. :)

That's just so kind and generous, Pilgrim. If you've been listening through my SC tracks then you'll be able to hear how 18 months of Justin lessons, practice, learning songs and recording leads to improvement.  I am a decided believer that it is deliberate study and practice that is the secret of my progress, rather than innate, natural ability. So keep at it and you'll develop into a reasonable guitar player.

Thanks Bala.  Pretty sure legend is a tad hyperbolic  ;D.  And if I am to be somewhat a legend then legends are not in short supply in this Community, a Community of most supportive, encouraging folk all sharing a common purpose to become better and better musicians.
