Stretching Lesson
« on: November 19, 2018, 05:08:50 am »
Howdy, I think it would be good to have a basic lesson at the beginning of the beginners course to talk about the importance of stretching before and after each practice session and a demonstration of some stretches we can do.

It should also be incorporated as a note in each of the practice schedules.

Sorry if I have missed this module somewhere. I know there is talk about stopping and not overdoing it in the beginning, especially if you experience any pain, but I can't remember anything about a dedicated stretching routine to help prevent injury.

My guitar collection (so far):
LH Taylor GS Mini
LH Fender Squier Stratocaster (60s vibe)
VOX Pathfinder Amp
Pedals: Boss Super Chorus CH-1

One of the best exercises I was taught by a session musician friend of mine.
Take a large sheet of newspaper and put the corner of it under your wrist with the rest of it in front of your hand, then using your fingers drag it into your palm to make it into a ball, do this a few times, it helps with stretching and strengthening your fingers.
My singing sucks so I’m learning Guitar and Ukulele, it’s fun 🌟
