Hi lule. Just had a quick listen. The strumming varies throughout the song. When it gets going in the chorus you can use ddddu. That sounds like the basic pattern, at the start when he's getting loose he misses a few strums and a few times for extra emphasis he puts more up strokes in. I think it's more like an eighth note pattern bit I can't seem to write it out for you. DDDDU will work fine and it's not a full hit on the 2 just a bit of a touch. I can sort of play it but I can't articulate it very well this morning.

Good luck
G

Have a look at Jesse's cover of this song. I've always thought he did a really nice job of this excellent song.

I really like Jesse's voice on this song. I first discovered this song as it was featured on an episode of Sons of Anarchy. That led me to discovering Greg Holden.

Keep in mind the strum pattern for a particular song is a lot of times not set in stone. Admittedly there are some where it's very distinctive but a lot of artists vary the strumming within the song itself and from performance to performance. They don't follow a hard-coded pattern and go more on feel.

I usually listen to the song a handful of times and catch the spirit of how they are strumming and that's about it. That's 2-3 hours you could spend on something else guitar related.
