Motherless Children - Joe Bonamassa
« on: September 30, 2018, 08:24:55 pm »
Hi,

So I've transcribed the intro of this song, but over the A - E - D - F progression, I can't figure out what Joe is playing.

There is some embellishments going on, and they are probably dead simple. Still I can't quite get it. Would appreciate if anyone could tab me the progression.

At YouTube, 0:52 - 1:00.

Thanks :)
I use heavy strings, tune low, play hard, and floor it. Floor it. That's technical talk.

I'm at work right now and don't have a guitar but I think he's just
playing partial barre chords and doing a Hendrix style embellishments.

Thanks,

It's those embellishments that's causing me some trouble.

I am playing the barre chords, A and E at the 12th fret, D at the 5th and then slide up towards the F. Without the crucial embellishments, it's just not that cool :D :D

If you have the time to play around when you get home, I'd love to get some tips from you regarding the embellishments.
