Metronome practice
« on: August 08, 2018, 04:17:50 pm »
Practising with the metronome was going quite well while doing quarter notes but when I changed to eighth notes it all fell apart for a couple of days. However I can see the logic of playing multiple notes to the musical beat.
So my real question is; As a lot of Blues and Rock is played in triplets, is there any point in trying to play 3 notes per beat rather than jumping from 2, straight to 4.
Is my logic just making life more difficult for me?

If by 4 notes per beat you mean 16th note strumming then it is probably better to do triplets first.
I think Justin covers triplets before 16th note strumming.
