You need an Android Smartphone, a couple of cables and a USB sound card (that are not expensive) plus an external speaker for the phone.
A very clever idea, it does work well - I already had the parts so tried it out!

My singing sucks so I’m learning Guitar and Ukulele, it’s fun 🌟

With the Amplitube app this has been possible on an iPhone for years! Amazing Android is so far behind....!

I didn’t know that, there again I only recently got my iPhone, but being as I have my old Android phone still it’s something it can be used for if I have the need. My EVH micro stack will do the same job but the sound quality from what I posted is much better.

This has been possible on Android for years too. It's just not as well known.

Cheers,

I plug my guitar on my computer (through a pedal because I read somewhere that you shouldn't plug directly on the comp, because of some impedance stuff or something) and I use VST plugins for preamp, amp sim, impulse reponse, effects and many other stuff...

It opened a whole world of sound for me. I never nothing more than a disto pedal with my amp and now I've got (vst) delay, pitch shifter, phaser... A ton of stuff. And for free.

Ain't life grand? 8)

A great free app for anyone interested is Tonebridge. Basically perfectly setup tones for any song and it’s all free. Just buy an iRig for £10 and you’re good to go.
