I had an exciting day today. For the first time since college, I attended a life drawing class. It was awesome! The model was amazing. She was a former dancer who said she was inspired by her cat and Degas.

I found my old box of charcoal. I won't tell you how old they are, but I'm surprised they haven't turned to diamonds by now. Haha. They still worked great. As I drew, I kept hearing the voice of my college drawing professor reminding me to do things. Really cool the way the words of people important to you stay with you forever.

Love it, Lynn. Charcoal delivers such great sense of atmosphere and mood for me.

Thanks Toby. You're silly. I'm glad you like it.

Thanks David. I really love working in charcoal. Nice and messy. Haha.

Keith has just finished this one, called

I've been busy, but I'm finding more time to paint and make music, and finally have more time to post again.

My job is going very well. I've made friends with my boss's son, who is disabled; in a wheelchair, and can't speak. I communicate with him through music and yes and no questions. He sits with me while I paint, and I talk to him and play him songs. He can laugh and has a devious sense of humor.

He liked this painting, my second in oil. I got a set last week, and an easel! I haven't posted the first one yet. Still thinking about it. This one was from a drawing I did from the life drawing session I've been going to.

Good to hear things going well, Lynn.

Intriguing painting,  the position of the head and twist I see on the body position.

As for music, would sooo love another video of you playing and singing your acoustic or Gibson, ok any guitar  ;) original or cover, not fussy. Just always enjoy your videos.

Here you go, David. I recorded this when we were working on this song last month. I don't think I need to start a new thread for it.

The guitar is actually my boss's. It's a gorgeous 1973 Guild acoustic, made in RI, my home state. He lent it to me, so Dave and I have been playing acoustics together most nights. It's been a really cool new sound for us. I bet my neighbors don't mind. Haha.

Thanks for the comment on the painting. It was a good pose. I tried to imagine where she'd be in it, and the beach seemed to work better than the super market. Haha.

You're a darling .... thanks for the video Lynn, lovely as always. Guitar sounded fabulous.

Two acoustics together ... hope you guys play and record some acoustic originals to go with the usual songs you produce.

Years and years ago I spent a couple pf days in Providence on business.

Providence has gone through a bit of Renaissance since then. It's pretty cool now.

We should record ourselves, but it's getting harder and harder to find an angle, and just the right lighting, to blind the viewer. Haha.
