Congrats Tosh I can only imagine what a big job it was but totally looks worth it. Looking forward to hearing more and great to have some goals for this year! as you say when we'll actually be able to get out is another thing.

Tosh, that is something to marvel at. Built from the ground up. You achieved what Petrocelli never did!! ;)

I wish you and your family many happy years of the good life. Maybe a few pics and details of how the music room came together?
Some great goals you have set yourself also.
:)

Now settled in the new house. As so many of you kind men and women have inquired as to how my music room, came along, I thought I'd finally share some pics. My home office / music room is fairly small, but works well for me. And best of all, it's all mine, whereas the basement in the old house was a much larger space but had to be fought with the kids over TV / video game time  ;)

The guitar hanger I just received. It was a hand built custom order whiskey barrel 3-guitar stave. I ordered it from https://goodwooddesignco.com/ if you are interested. It's stunning in person and in my opinion the guitars on the wall really make the room. I also have my amp (Blues Junior IV), pedals, and stereo in here. Some of you may remember the pedalboard that I posted about building from scratch with my dad a couple summers ago in his wood shop. Here it finally is, stained and all. I now wish we had made it a bit bigger, but it works!

Still need to do a bit of decorating, but the bones are good! There really is nothing like building a new home from the ground up. It's been an amazing experience. maybe sometime i'll send pics of the whole house if there is interest. just don't want to bore people :-)

Love it Tosh and so happy for you! It's your roadcase and personally I would love to see extra shots, I work in building services and this sort of stuff really tickles my back so even if it's for my own sake please post some more photos! love the bottom pics, soon and you'll be jamming with your boy there, he seems keen to jump into it straight away

Yeah Tosh, I agree with Adrian. I'd love a tour around your home. Can't wait till we get a photo of you out on that big back porch playing for a small group of people.

Your son looks a lot like you.

Thanks for the pictures, Tosh.

Looks fabulous, love the layout. Definitely no finer way to decorate a wall than with guitars.

Pedal board looks great. So maybe a small pedal board for the acoustic, solo, Man In Black gig. And gives you a good reason to build a second pedal board for rocking out with the tele.

I'm with your lad ... double thumbs up.

I'm with Maggie and Adrian ... would love to see more pictures of the house ... inside outside USA

Music room/office looks great Tosh. Brilliant to have your ‘own space’.
The guitars look great on the wall. Judging by the window position your guitars look to be on an internal wall so all good. Apart from obviously making sure they are secure, I’ve read you should never hang guitars on the inside of an external wall as the temperature can fluctuate and depending on the level of insulation and ventilation, condensation can form.

I know, right? Besides...now I’m down to just one electric. We can’t have that can we? I do have empty cases now though. Hmmm...

Yes Gordon, should be good on that front. I am a little concerned about direct sunlight, but I guess I’ll just watch them.

Buy another of those doodie racks and set it up empty on the wall. If your other half is like missus, she will want balance and implore you to populate the empty rack ! Sorted.  8)

Was inspired by the beautiful rainbow to get some front porch playing action in! Pretend gig with nobody around but a couple neighborhood walkers! I did get a couple waves though from people who I don’t know. Played till dark. Fun!

Let the good times roll and rock on, Tosh.

Rainbow was beautiful. Never get used to your houses perching on the edge of the street without boundary walls.

Now, this is a good look!
I realise I've been approaching the whole concept of guitar storage from the wrong angle...literally.
Side on to maximise number of guitars in a line is not the way to go.
Width-wise is so much better!  :)
(Now, how to persuade the other person occupying the house to give up some real estate?)

Thanks for all the great comments that my porch pic. Check or my wife’s Facebook / Instagram story from today. Apparently she’s my new manager and now I’m performing on the porch for an upcoming neighborhood party.

The pressure is on. YIKES!!! Hahaha
