Beginner songs on Rocksmith 2014
« on: April 09, 2017, 10:39:49 am »
Hello, I once made a 'what guitar to buy' thread here and ended up with the PRS SE 245. I've been playing a lot lately and got a couple (about 10) chords which I can play pretty decent now.

Now lately I've discovered the game Rocksmith and noticed there was a section about it on here as well. Now my question was: what would be a pretty good song to start the game with and work on that.

I literaly just started playing 2 days ago and it all seems a bit overwhelming so far. Thing is I just don't know what song to start with and what difficulty. Or should I just try some out and see which fits me best? Or maybe do some of the mini games first.

Also, does anyone have the game on PC (Steam)? Feel free to add me so we can help eachother :D

Thanks for reading!

The Ramones: Blitzkrieg Bop is pretty easy.

Hey ho, let's go! :)

You can slow the songs down too.

Rocksmith's a good game, but not much of a learning tool IMO.

This is assuming you're following Justin's BC. These songs use chords from Stage 1 and Stage 3.

Hello, thank you both for your replies. I haven't been online in ages, had some stuff going on in life and haven't played guitar a lot lately but I will now. Also sorry for replying so late.

Will try out all 3, thanks! :)

I'm a bit late at this tread but anyway.

The easiest ones i have found so far:

The Ramones -Blitzkrieg Bob.

The Dead Weather - I can't hear you.

The White tripes - Seven nation army and Blue Orchid. These can be downloaded for free at Custumsforge.com Look under CDLC Ignition - Browse. Just put the downloaded file into Rocksmith's cdlc folder.
Make sure that you download the correct kind of file for either PC or the game console you  have.

Def Leppard - Pour some sugar on me.

The Lumineers - Ho Hey.

Sigur Rós - Gobbledigook. Can be downloaded at Customsforge.

Jarvis Cocker - Angela.

The Magic Wands - Black Magic.

Guitars: Squire Standard Stratocaster and Squire Affinity Telecaster. Squire, Vintage Modified Jaguar ( Shortscale ) bass.

Amp. Blackstar ID Core BEAM.
