Slow down App question
« on: March 16, 2017, 04:24:27 pm »
I am interested in getting an app that slows down the music so that I can learn to play the songs better.  People seem to suggest anytune a lot.  However, my problem is that I actually don't download music to my phone.  I have a sonos system and I just use spotify for all me music listening.  I am wondering if it is possible to get songs into these slow down apps from spotify or other online music apps?

If you're on Android you can get Spotify music and there is a nice app called Music speed changer by Single minded productions that let's you change speed without altering pitch - both are adjustable. I use the free version but get my mp3 files off CD's or downloads.
Too much to list now, I have a bad case of GAS, UAS, and general ‘must have syndrome’

Note this will only slow down the songs on your phone. You won't be able to play them on Sonos.

Thanks!  I did just happen upon this one.  Trying to try out the lite version but I am having an issue with it picking up the wrong spotify account.  I have sent them an email.

Anytune gets an "A" grade from me. Slow music down, loops, pitch change for oddly tuned recordings, transpose, eq's to isolate frequency bands so you can hear sounds more easily, incremental speed increase loop settings.

^ anytune ftw!
I've been using it over the last couple of years and it works great for practicing.
