Hi!

I've been trying a few songs from Stage 2 of the Begginer's course but I've found some troubles with this song, specially with the upwards strumming. It feels like my pick gets stuck with the strings and it sounds really weird.

I try to create an appropriate angle between the pick and the chords to make it softer, but I seems reaaally hard for me. Any tips?

Are you using your wrist to change the angle of the pick. Not to this extreme and sideways not up and down

Hi Guys, when it goes from verse 1 to the chorus the strumming pattern changes and justins pretty quick doing it...can anyone point me in the right direction it's the (A)  (E)  D  D  A  A  part

Hi, first post, I did a search and was going to reply to the "Desire" thread but its been dormant for a while and it was suggested to start a new thread. Anyway, I got the chords and strum pattern for the "riff" but when he goes over the "chorus" part, I cannot figure out the strum pattern, I've watched to the point of frustration. He is doing something different but I can't isolate what. here's how I write it out, could someone fill in the blanks?

If it is a Song / Lesson / Product specific question always post in the specific thread for that … and don't worry about the red 'dormant' alert … some of those threads do go a while without activity.

To get your post to align use the command pre inside a square bracket ahead of your text and /pre in a square bracket after your text.
I have done that with yours and also resized to 12 point.
You could quote mine and edit to place the text where you need them

So again, I'm looking for the strum pattern (what note down on what beat and what note up on what beat for the chorus). In the video (at the 6:00 mark) he says, 2 bars of D then to A chord. He goes kinda fast and I'm having a hard time figuring it out but it definitely sounds like there is an extra "up" strum in there compared to the "riff" and possibly only on the "A" part. Sorry if you saw my frustration posts last night.
To be perfectly clear, here what I got:

Riff: Down strum "D" on 1. Up strum A on the & of beat 2. Down strum E on beat 3. Then on beat 2 of the second bar down strum A, then down strum E on beat 3 of the second bar.

Chorus: Down strum D on beat 1, up strum D on the & of beat 2.

So I need someone to help me finish the 1st bar & 2nd bar of D in the chorus and also the "A" part of the chorus.

I'm really working hard on rhythm and would hugely appreciate the help.
