I listened but somehow my questions didn't seem to make it, and I couldn't see anything other people were asking after me.  Time lag issue?   I think it would help to send people to a Hangouts tutorial or something.   But still it was a nice thing.
Realism is relative.

Really enjoyed the listening party. Justin, Owen and Ellem answered 3 of my questions.  :)

Hi Pat,
Yes the live hangout can be a bit confusing if you've not taken part in one before. For future reference there is a Q&A App that runs in the browser from the streaming event which should appear on the right hand side of the video. If another app (like Showcase) has been enabled then you may have to click on the "boxes" icon on the top right of the video stream to select it.

This app lets the viewers submit questions, and upvote other people's questions. When they are selected (by Justin) it actually bookmarks the video so you can jump to the specific question in the recording that is published on Youtube afterwards.

Cheers,

Keith

I made it for a few minutes, got confused, got called away and had to leave again.
Shame

Well done majik for your contribution

By the way, here's the recording of this for anyone who missed it:

The first half hour is a little chaotic, but it gets better.

Took me ages to work out how to log in to a gmail account I didn't know I had, in order to verify an activation email Google sent me so i could log in to the event and take part.

Went pretty smooth after that, though the echo on Owen and Ellem's voices was troublesome at times.

There were some bizarre questions asked. Someone asked if Justin "hated them." There really are some bizarre people.

Good hour or so though.

Yeah, the echo was from Justin's computer feeding back. Some laptops are better than others for this, but it's always best to wear a headset. As soon as Justin put a headset in it stopped.

Cheers,

Keith

Big thanks Majik :) would have been a disaster without you. All of us enjoyed it, but did take some getting used to!

I'm thinking a guitar one would be good fun too, maybe just a monthly thing... trying to work out when will be best day of week and time...

Thanks everyone for coming and sorry if we somehow missed your questions Pat. I should do a hangouts lesson when I get it figured out properly myself! :)
