Yep. Ordered it today right off this website. I've really enjoyed the beginners songbook and am confident this will be a great next step in my development. Just recently completed the beginners course. I'm looking forward to working through the beginners songs before moving n to the intermediate method.

This book is definitely a step up in difficulty from the Beginners Songbook...however, not an intimidating level, if you have become comfortable with the Beginner songs...

Good stuff, for sure!

As far as song books go, I guess this book is okay, kinda disappointed with the song choices though.   :'(Nothing in here that is my "style", but I wanted to get a book that's related to what I'm learning right now, and has songs that I can practice the stuff I'm learning for right now, like barre chords. So I got it.

Glad to help... Great collection. I'm not a Beatles fan but found a few i enjoyed playing, along with a lot of other artists in the book.
Printed it off at work when no one was looking lol

Just ordered this book on Justin's site as it was not available on Amazon. I'm loving the intermediate online courses and hoping this book is a good supplement to the courses and the beginners songbook.

I just received the Rock Song book, and since I just completed the beginner course, I decided to dive into the intermediate songs. Most of the songs are accompanied by sheet music that I don't know how to read, as this wasn't covered in the beginner course. (e.g. the first intermediate song Alison has sheet music related to intro and lead guitar.) Did I miss something? How have others handled this problem? Is there a reference guide for reading sheet music that people would recommend?

Hi bgabriel28
I bought Justin’s rock song book earlier this year after buying an electric guitar. I already had an accoustic guitar but James Taylor, Cat Stevens et all just didn’t work (obviously). I already had the beginner, accoustic and vintage song books and had just completed the BC.

The rock song book is very different. The beginner’s course book has some basic tab in it and Justin explains how to read it, but the rock book has some difficult stuff. I’m assuming that’s what you mean by sheet music. The reason I suppose is that to play rock you are expected to play chords mixed with riffs and lead. This entails reading more complex tab. I’m working at it but I agree with you, it’s not easy. I don’t think you need a special tuition book to learn it, just a bit of time and practice, and I’m certainly not there!

To be honest I’ve put the rock book on the back burner and am learning blues riffs (which also needs a knowledge of tab), along with fingerstyle on the acoustic (which again needs tab).
So much to learn!
