I've looked everywhere and had not success. I have the Rock songbook, in fact I have all the songbooks. Right now I'm practicing If You Tolerate This - Manic St Preachers. I can manage the changes, but I'm having trouble with the strumming. So I thought look for the lessons video. Well, there isn't one. In fact no mention of the song on the song list either. I can have a guess why not. Was the video taken down by request of the artist?

That was the case for a few particular artists but I suspect it's simply that Justin hasn't got around to doing a video lesson. He has a lot of books out there and not all the songs have video lessons.

Thanks rossco. Plan B is to listen to the original and get the strum pattern from that. That should have been my plan A, but I wasn't confident I'd figure it out

Hi Derek, there are some great acoustic versions of this by the Manics out there and some solo stuff from JDB that maybe more useful than the original recording

Hi,

I am George here from India.  I was trying out AC DC's Highway to Hell-the first song in your song book.I did not understand the Intro riff(Page 14):

A(what is the "I:"  sign which comes immedietely after A?
What is "N.C"?

Looking forward to your reply,

Regards
George

George

The I: shows the start of the section that is repeated, as you will see at the end of the chords there is a
:I so all chords or notes within a section marked like this are repeated a number of times.
The N.C. refers to No Chord. So here there is No Chord on the 2nd beat of the bar. From what I recall from the lesson Justin emphasises the importance of muting the A so it does not ring out. Having the N.C. reaffirms that the A should ring for one beat only. If it is not muted it will ring on into the 2nd beat losing the percussive effect of the original recording. Watch the video again and see how Justin does this and explains the hand action required.

Cheers

Toby
