This song is actually in the rock songbook not the pop songbook (unless it's in both). In either case I have a question about the sound.

In the video Justin does a good job of explaining the various pedals that could be used to achieve the sound; distortion, delay and chorus or tremolo.

I understand that during the intro and verses you would obviously use the delay and chorus or tremolo. However, when the chorus section of the song kicks in and you are now playing with distortion would you also keep the delay and chorus/tremolo effects on at the same time? Or would it just be distortion and nothing else; in other words, kick on the distortion and kick off the other effects?

Thanks

@phx1973 I guess in the chorus the tremolo effect increases, or you just can imitate it by strumming up and down fast without engaging the effect.
