Been nosing around at what can be done with Cigar box guitars thinking they were a bit limited to bluesy stuff and found this - one of my fav bands and not a bad rendition.

Hello, first post! I always watch this video when I need a bit of cheering up. When I Kissed The Teacher is one of my favourite ABBA songs. So when I saw this, it just made my day. Make sure you watch right to the end for the punchy dance moves.

ohhh I can't post external links it seems. OK, so go to Youtube and search for 'when I kissed the teacher the bottles'. And tell me what you think-- I'd love to play this version but I'm still in my first week of the beginner course  :-*

Misterlutherman1's  mandolin post reminded me of this mandolin cover of Lateralus.

That sounds so lovely. I especially like the intro. The soft texture of the mandolin and the layered melodies works very well together. I find it interesting how there are 'soft' instruments, and no matter how 'hard' you play them, or how fast, they still are soft compared to others. Which goes to show how different instruments possess unique attributes to creating sound, and how important it is to choose an instrument that resonates with you personally.
