Soundcloud collaboration
« on: November 11, 2013, 07:47:01 pm »
Tom Adams (tytlblues) on Soundcloud tossed out an open invite collaboration, slow blues in Am.

Here's mine:

Tom plays 1 & 3, guests get 2 & 4 and all start around the :50 and 2:25 marks.

Here's a bunch of them he's putting in a set list as they get posted.

Cool concept with some very different takes.  8)

That's an awesome idea. I guess it won't be long before someone creates a justinguitar collab over the same theme.... anyone?

Man that guy playing clarinet is going to town.

I told people here ages ago to do this and no one ever did it. We used to get 10 or twelve people and someone would make a loop to play over. Everyone play a shot at it and then simply increase the length of the song.

Basically you line your names up so you know who to play after and it's better if one person drops the individual takes into one good file but it often doesn't work that way.

That would probably not fit the purpose....? I do like your voice, but why not challenge yourself with a guitar solo?

Thanks Pat!

Tom mentioned instruments and vocals. Why not? It's all good! Download the track and slap some lyrics down!

Yes, someone did a vocal... I think his was named Mr. Blues... about halfway down the list of 18. From link in op.

Here's his original with no 2 & 4 bits

Should be a download button under the sound wave graphic.

Thanks AS,

Got it, did something a little Doorsy, but I really enjoyed it.  And a few other versions too.  I just had a long philosophical discussion with a few people about the current state of music and what it means in our lives.  I think that this is the real deal, and I love being part of it.
