These days computers don't come with cd players... Just sayin'

 ;D

Thought most 'tower' systems still had dvd drives ? If that's the case it'll read a cd.

I'm interested in purchasing the beginners coursebook, but was wondering if someone would be willing to post an image of one of the songs - any one, doesn't matter - I just want to see what it looks like before buying the book.  Thanks!

Ferruci, I don't think there are any songs in the beginners course book they are all in the beginners songbook. If you look at this in Justin's store you'll see a sample layout for a song. I and many many others will say it's a superb book and an essential companion for doing the beginners course.

I bought the Course book solely to support the great work Justin does and it is well worth it for those that can afford it. [About one hors worth of guitar lessons in Australia would cost more that it did for me to purchase the book and have it delivered registered to Australia.

Content wise it has all nine Stages plus a bonus stage which includes: Chord library, How to change strings, getting s good sound from your amp, A Full Neck diagram with all the notes, a Capo chart, Justin training exercises, A blues lead to learn, Simple Finger picking "Silent Night", and solo blues.

The CD's supplement the nine stages as well as the bonus stage material.

Overall, its a quality book that's made to last and serve as a reference for anyone interested in learning guitar.

I still refer to the videos online for the initial lesson at each stage, but I use the book from then on and the CD's until I feel confident enough to move on.

Anyway, if you use the site and can afford it you will be very pleased with the book.

Hi Russell, Well, as far as I know they are not available as download, but I never used them much. Lot of things are available as soundcloud files, for example ear training, and you find the links with the referring Video lesson where you can find all the important audio stuff as well. This is all I can tell you. Hope this helps.

Maybe you have got the wrong car, in US Cars one could establish a whole studio, but in German ones either... ;)

Hello, I'm new to the forum and to Justin's book, although I've been enjoying his song tutorials on YouTube for a couple years. Enjoying his book, and would like to have a copy of the practice chart in it. He writes in the book that there is a pdf of the chart in the accompanying CD set, but I've just looked at both of them and there are no pdf files there. Does anyone know if Justin has this anywhere on his site? Thank you.

Heather

HI Heather,
I have the book as well. If you explore CD2 there is a folder with pdf files of the practice routines shown in the book.

Having searched and found the answer below, it would have been very helpful if this information had been included in the description of the "The JustinGuitar Beginner's Starter Pack", as was disappointed to find no DVD of the song videos, or that the videos were included in the Course DVD. I do appreciate the reason (as stated below), but this would have been helpful if stated in the description of the Package, rather than just the link for the Songbook itself.

Was looking at the product description and found this:

"Please note that NO SONGS are included on the DVD, you have to watch those on the web site. Sorry, it's because of copyright restrictions..."

On this page:

justinguitar.com/en/PR-111-BeginnersCourseV2.php

You can decide if I did this because this and another post made me curious or if I just try to be helpful  8)

From memory DVDs are a separate purchase unless you got the beginners bundle.

Matek is correct.

You get two audio CDs with the Beginner's Course book.

The Beginner's Course four DVD set is a separate purchase.

Hello there,

I was thinking about ordering the beginners coursebook and starting to watch the beginners lessons. I am a LEFT HANDED player. Is the book and videos compatible for left handed players?

The chord diagrams, is there a way to see them in left hand view?

No there isn't any in the book, you'd have to download LH chord diagrams from the net. Easy to find.

as a LH I actually found LH diagrams confusing, and just went with right. Most of the time I was learning chords from videos anyway, and this was easier, being mirror image.

Sounds good, just learning my first D, A, and E chords! Will probably purchase the coursebook soon.

Hey taymana337, i'm a lefty too and i'm at the intermediate stages now. At first it's a bit difficult, having to translate the chordboxes to a left handed version, but the video's are really helpfull, as they give you a mirror image.

If something is especially difficult, i download some lefthanded chordboxes, diagrams etc, and start taking notes. (my chord book, for example. Just left handed chord boxes)

Have a look here: https://leftyfretz.com/

Good luck and have fun!
I'll get it in the end. Just don't give up, that's the key....

Hi,

I recently started working through the beginner course but I don't have a CD/DVD drive on my computer. I am able to find a computer with one, but the files are in a format called CDA which can only be played using the CD itself. This makes the audio completely useless to me, since I can't use it to learn without a CD rom drive. Has anyone else figured out a workaround to this issue?

I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but it's not hard to rip the files to mp3...

On checking my Beginners Coursebook CD 2 for the Blues Lead track I find the disc only contains PDFs of Practice Schedules and J.U.S.T.I.N charts but no tracks. According to the Track Listing at the back of the book it should contain 52 tracks with chords, pentatonic patterns and 12 Bar Blues variations etc

Is there anywhere on Justins site that I can download these tracks?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Regards,

WB.

Sorted thanks to an email from Jed.

Anyone else having this issue - the tracks are there they're just not visible in explorer, use a media player and there they are!

Now for some blues practice!:)
