No questions; I just wanted to say thanks for choosing this song and please include the lead solos (especially the last one) in your upcoming book. It's extraordinarily under appreciated, but for my money that solo is possibly the single best lead solo in the history of rock and roll. Top 5 at the very least. There are many songs I like better than My Sharona, but I can't think of a better lead solo.

Thanks for all you do, Justin.

Sorry to break it to you Dog but, the book's already out and the My Sharona solo's are not tabbed out.   :(

...where the deer and the antelope play.  Well, they're not really playing.  They're fleeing in terror.

Hey everyone :)
I bought this fantastic book, but I have a doubt about riff 1 chords.
The book says "The chord part after the octave riff is a barre chord on C, lifting off finger 3".
So, how the hell do I perform a 5th string root barre chord lifting my 3 finger, since that's the one I use for baring?  ;D
Thanks!

Zeboo, you have two barres in an A-shape barre chord - one with your 3rd finger, and one with your 1st. Lift the 3rd finger to allow the index barred notes to ring out.

So, if I got this right, in the case of the C chord specified in the book I would have:
X3555X then lift and I get X3333X, is that right?
Thanks ;)

Here is a link to an HQ recording of the band performing the song (live I think) for some TV show. Justin links to it too from the lesson page, IIRC.

Anyway, watch it and you can see most of the chords and changes the band uses. Personally I've learned to download anything good I find on Youtube before our evil musical/movie overlords come and take it away.
