Hi there, my first post! Been playing for just over 2 years now and this site is just so helpful!

Really love playing this song, so thanks to Justin for putting up this lesson. I just have a question regarding the riff played in the verse.

As showed by Justin, the strings to play for the G chord are as follows (each number matching to the relevant string):

3 6 6 6 3 6 6 6 3 6 3

..and then you move the chord shape to the A or Bb shape then return to G and repeat.

However, I have listened very closely to the riff played on the recorded version -slowed right down- and it appears (to my admittedly much less well practiced ear) to be played slightly differently:

(Note: modified from my original post as I mistyped it)
6 3 666 3 6 3 666 3

I know this is such a very specific (i.e. picky!) thing to ask about, but I find if I play it like that I can keep in time much easier with the original recording.

Anyway, appreciate any feedback at all on this. Ta

Hi Gregea,

Yes, you are right. On the original recording its: 6 3 666 3 6 3 666 3.

I play: DU DUD U DU DUD U
           63 666  3 63 666  3

Im a big FF-fan, and i have listened to this song many millions of times so i think this is right.
If someone proves me wrong im the first to admit im wrong.

Cheers!  8)
