Second try at songwriting
« on: June 02, 2013, 06:21:16 pm »
Hi,

In the very beginning of learning guitar, I "wrote" a song by combining the chords progression of one song with the fingering of another.

Now that I have learned more stuff (scales ect.), I have tried to write something more personal. The result is here: http://youtu.be/j6AbvLqC2DY

This is a computer generated version (Tuxguitar). Now I have to play it for real and record myself!

A new version of the same song (faster tempo, longer bridge and outro, melody of the chords shifted)

You should find a way to record yourself, it would be more more rewarding for you and more pleasant for the listeners.  Can you actually play this on your guitar?

That will be the next step. I am practising it but not ready to record yet.

Recording is always useful, even if you're not going to post them... you can learn a lot by just listening to what you play and how you sing... So you're ALWAYS ready to record :)
