Picked this up pretty quick, but I've tried getting the whole sequence down from the lesson and watching travis vids, but the acoustic guitar gets lost in the mix on the vids I found.

Following Justin's lesson I have:

Intro  -  1 bar ea of Em, Am, Am7, Em
Verse - same
Chorus  - 1/2 bar of G, D, then 2 bar Am, G

So is that another half bar of G before back into the verse, or a full bar? Justin stop the lesson before clarifying.

Drubbing, I am learning it just now, so I thought I would reply. You must have found your answer by now, but anyway. It's a full bar of G at the end of the chorus. So it goes like this :
Intro :   |Em    |Am    |Am7    |Em   |   (x2)
Verse :   idem
Chorus: |G  D  |Am    |Am    |G     |
Verse 2

I have found those videos where we can hear the guitar better :

I've got a silly question about the lyrics  :)

Justin has the line in verse 2 written as "Surely, you've been going too hurry"
All the online lyric sites seem to have it written as "Surely, you've been going too early" (not all spelled correctly).
The videos don't help, the majority of the lyrics seem quite clear, but it sounds like he sings "Hurley" which has probably caused the confusion  :)

Anyone got any thoughts as neither make sense to me...

Just listened to it on Spotify to check, and it's definitely hurry.

It's probably the Scottish accent that's throwing people of.

Hi folks!

I’m struggling with the chord change from G to D in the chorus. If I’m right, it’s like this:

Chords:                (...G)..........D.......................Am
Count & accents:   .....2-e-A-a-3-e-A-a-4-e-A-a-1...
Strums & accents:   ...d-u-d-u-d-u-d-u-d-u-d-u-d...

Though it sounds good when Justin is playing it simply feels wrong when I’m playing. I tried over and over again, focussing on the G-to-D change, focussing on strumming and accent, skipping the downstrum on 3...nothing works...holy crab! ;)
I’ve no idea how to cope with this challenge. Does anyone have a suggestion, e.g. a specific workout?

Keep grooving!
