I always have Songs or Improv at the end of my session, and just extend it as much as I want / have time to.

If I'm short on time - which is most days - I do 5 minutes of concentrated chord sequences. It makes sure I actually get a little practice in dedicated to playing a song, every practice.

If I have more time I doodle around for as long as I like. But still - 5 minutes is better than just thinking - oh, not worth it today, don't have the time.

That's good Laila. Playing 5 minutes a day is much better than not touching the guitar!
I do not have a practice schedule per se as I sm practicing songs for the band, but during the day I pick up the guitar for 5-10 minutes and practice what needs most practice.
