In the DVD, Justin first goes up and down the neck to demonstrate voice leading in the key of C. Next he gives an example where he uses the C note on the E string as his anchor note and plays the progression holding that C for essentially the first ten bars. He suggests we try the same exercise using a different note as our anchor, such as A. When we change notes from C to A are we also changing keys and playing in the key of A? If not, I don't think I get it, cause I can't find many chords in the key of C that use the A note on the E string.
Thanks to Justin for an incredibly great and fun lesson.

Haven't seen it but yes... if he demonstrates in Key of C and uses the C note then it stands to reason the A note would be reflective of Key of A.

All right. Thanks. If you're in touch with Justin, perhaps he could verify. Thanks again.
