I can't answer the first question as I am not aware of what is required to play the intro.
I think if you have the desire ok to start working on something. If techniques needed haven't been learned you may find it challenging and should beware of getting frustrated and demotivated because of that.
Best advice I have learned here is to slow it right down and learn it bit by bit. Key is to play each bit correctly to avoid practising and making mistakes permanent .... remember practice makes what you play permanent not perfect

Once you can play sections correctly then you can buikd up speed.
